Updating my previous review... we decided to give this place one more shot (it's slim pickings in Boiling Springs for restaurant variety), and I'm happy to say that it was much improved from my previous 2 experiences. Service was great, and the food was excellent. The loaded mashed potatoes are no longer drenched in butter, and the food was overall less greasy and more flavorful. My wife's chicken tenders were not burnt at all and had a nice seasoning. I had forgotten how good the pizza was here (having sampled my daughter's). While still a bit pricey, the place is a bit nicer than most establishments in the area. The kids meals were reasonably priced (under $5) which is half the battle when you have kids. We had a very positive experience, so this place is back on the good list for us.

In town for a few days so the wife and i decided to have dinner here on 05/25/13. I had the Ribeye and my wife had the Blackened Salmon Sandwich. Two bites into the sandwich and she had put it aside and said she couldn't eat another bite of it. I finished up and we left shortly after. Two miles up the road we had to stop for her to be sick. She couldn't put her finger on the problem but said something just wasn't right with the salmon. The attitudes of the two young female bartenders also needs some improvement. If you could get their attention over their cell phones and flirting with local guys you could get service otherwise you had to wait until they decided to check on everyone. We are fans of Copper River Grill in every other location we have dined at but would not recommend this one to anyone.

I like this place. It's a little pricier than it needs to be, but the food is good. I've only been twice over the last few years, each time with a different screaming infant, but I enjoyed it both times. The Cajun chicken Alfredo was actually the tastiest I've ever had - lots of flavor! I gave this 4 stars because it's always so loud in there that you have to yell across the table. Even then you have to repeat yourself.

My husband and I tried Copper River tonight for the first time in Boiling Springs, the service was excellent and the fire grilled salmon was hands down one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend trying out Copper River to those who haven't yet.

My family and I go every year for my mothers birthday and that is the only time we go. Last time we went, I got fillet minion and my wife got a NY strip, both tasted bland, like they were previously frozen with little to no season (no salt for sure). The year before that I got Ribs, but both the ends of the ribs were so over done I couldn't eat them, so I paid for a full rack and only ate half a rack. The year before that I got a burger, which was the best thing of the 3, but I paid $8... for a burger. Since I have to go every year, I think next time I will try out the pizza since many give it good reviews, but as far as steak and ribs.... never again! I gave it three stars (instead of 2) bc I love there red onion shreds you can get as an appetizer and there service is fairly quick and friendly.

Was in town on business and this restaurant came highly recommended by hotel staff. Long story short....AWFUL service. I had ordered the NY strip (which came with a caesar or house salad), along with 6 jumbo shrimp, I originally selected the Caesar and then later requested to change back to the House salad as my colleague ordered. About 30 minutes later, I solicited the assistance of a bus boy who was more than happy to assist and when I told him that I was still waiting for my neal, he promptly got her to the table. So as opposed to saying, how is everything, she replied WHAT didn't you get? Taken off guard, I replied, my meal She said, oh I just thought you wanted a house salad. Side note: How does one go from ordering a full entree to a simple house salad? Anyway, she never apologized, went back to the kitchen and came back and said, well they can prepare it for you now, but it depends on how you want it cooked which will determine the wait time. Now by this time, my colleague is done with her soup and salad. The manager comes over and says that will be about 7-8 minutes for the steak, so I said, ok, just bag it as a carry out order. When she returned with bag and crappy waitress in tow, she asked, is this on one bill or 2? I suggested that we certainly need to revisit my meal and she said "Oh, he said to give you the shrimp for free (value $6)", so I asked "who is 'he'?" and she responded saying "oh the owner", so I asked her to send him to my table to hear about my experience first hand. After hearing about the salad that I specifically asked for without almonds, that was served WITH almonds and the unsweetened tea that was refilled with sweet tea, I clearly expressed to the owner that if I had a nut allergy or been diabetic, we would be looking at a train wreck. I also expressed to him that at NO time, did the waitress EVER apologize for the many errors that were made. He agreed, comped my meal and offered myself and colleague a dessert on the house. I politely declined, since I still had a steak to eat...and wait...guess what happened next....the waitress came over and APOLOGIZED....clearly after being instructed to do so. Although the owner did the right thing in the end, if I had not insisted on seeing him, I would have been stuck with a meal that I had to reheat in the microwave in the hotel and paid for it. My advice to the leadership at Copper River......please, please, please teach the staff to be courteous, clarify any confusion on orders and to check on their patrons after delivering food to the table!

I have eaten here twice. The first time I found a hair in my food. The second time, I found a piece of metal shaving in my mashed potatoes and my daughter-in-law found a hair in her food. I always hate to complain because I'm afraid they'll think I'm trying to get a free meal or something. There was no mention of a discount so we paid our bill and left. The food is good, the servers are nice, but I won't be back.

I was in Spartanburg on business and did not expect this find. The food and service were great. I did not expect the expansive menu. If you are a collard fan, you must order them! They taste like grandmas. I ordered prime rib, collards, sweet potato and a very delicious dessert that was sinful - baked crossiant custard. It was Homemade egg custard and croissants with cinnamon, candied pecans and their signature Glacier Sauce, be carefult this one will make you come back for more but it's ok, its big enough for the whole table to enjoy.,

We started off sitting in bar area. Had a polmagranite martini which was perfectly mixed and chilled. For the appitizer we had the baked parmigian crab dip. It comes with warm garlic toast wedges. I crab in the dip was much more noticeable w/o using the bread. When we wanted to move to a table, we where told we had to pay tab at bar and couldn't take it to table. My wife ordered the salmon with a Caesar salad and steamed broccoli. The salmon had a fantastic honey-teriyaki sauce and it was cooked perfectly. I had the crab stuffed shrimp and steak with house salad and loaded baked potato. Salad had egg bacon bits almonds along with normal fixings. Home made balsamic dressing was tasty. I ordered the steak med. rare( is there another way?) but came well done. Manager came over, apologized and re-fired the steak to perfection. But when eating the crab stuffed shrimp, watch out for the shrimp tails(can't see because of all the crab dressing. Over all service and food was above average. Will definitely go bCk again.

Since when do places of business allow their bartenders to tend to their texts and phones while "working"? I was never asked if I liked my meal ( which I didn't), if I'd like anything else, water! etc. The Mobb salad was just ok, with soggy onion rings, or whatever they call them, and the soups was just ok as well. Nothing aggravates me more than receiving a pen that doesn't work to sign my credit card statement . On my travels, this is the second time I've been to this chain and it is what one would expect for a chain.

Is it just me or is anyone else grossed out over the creepy commercialized shredded lettuce and thick cut turkey and ham? I have no idea what it is about it but it's gross. I ordered a club sandwich not too long ago and I just couldn't stomach it. The same goes for their chicken wrap...Not a fan! As I have said before in a previous post, I am highly allergic to tomatoes. About 6 months ago I went in here for a salad and made sure to tell everyone that tomatoes could kill me. When I received my salad, I began eating it because there was no evidence of tomatoes present and I immediately started feeling that all too familiar itchiness in the back of my throat. After searching the salad better, I found a cube of tomato in the center of the bowl. It was almost like someone had it out for me! I immediately took Benadryl and had to leave. The poor waitress had no idea what to do and she had the "please don't sue us" face on. Since the event, my husband has talked me into trying the restaurant again. This time we went last week and it was rather good. I just made sure not to order a salad or anything that could come in contact with raw tomatoes. Our waitress was a newbie and was very nervous but she still got a $10 tip before we left. You could tell that she was swamped and was trying her best. Too bad there aren't more people like her there that actually want to please the customers rather than stand at the front and run their mouths. I get that making friends at work is a plus, but when you do nothing but stand at the front of the restaurant with your breasts practically hanging out, the only attention you are going to get is the wrong kind if you catch my drift! Cover it up ladies...Some of us have children!
Four of us came here for lunch midweek. We got right in and were seated at a table immediately without a reservation. There was some confusion on the ice tea ordering - regular versus sweet tea. "Regular" means sweet tea. I ordered the Mobbed salad without the bacon or crispy things. It came as ordered and with the dressing in the side. It was delicious. The crumbled blue cheese added so much. Atmosphere a little loud (chatty) and music too low. Good spot for a salad.

I had the Bigfoot's Mother-In-Law burger, which consisted of a giant burger patty, grilled ham, crispy-fried shrimp, Monterrey Jack, remoulade sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onions & pickles. I must say this was one of the biggest, sloppiest (in a good way) , and most tasteful burgers I have ever eaten!! It was HUGE, so big, I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Our waitress was very accommodating and prompt as well.

Very attractive restaurant both inside & out. Large, varied menu. I had the Tupelo almond chicken wrap, that started out great, but somewhat lost it's taste as it went along - I think it just needed to be prepared better and with more of the dressing inside as the chicken was overdone - I would have asked for more dressing on the side, but our waiter was MIA. He did show up to give us our check, but never checked back with us during the meal. The person I was with had a burger, which he said was really very good. The fries were hot & well done, but nothing great. We also had some of the Copper River Reds, which is a type of deep fried onion - they were okay, but I wouldn't order them again; too much batter & not enough onion. Might give it another try since one of us liked their meal. It was kind of expensive, so would hope for better food and much better service.

Around 7:30pm on 12/5/2014... we were sort of slim on options where we'd eat. This is Spartanburg County for ya... very slim offerings of restaurants unlike what Greenville has. I wanted to go to FATZ, but I wanted something a little different, so we decided to hit here! Food's quite pricey, but the portions you're getting make it worth it! Service was surprisingly quick, and our waitress was named "Amber" if I recall correctly, she was blonde too. Going simple, I got the "chicken-fried tenders" and a side of fries. The breading on them was similar to the "Calabash Chicken" at FATZ, which is nice, but flavor-wise, not as much. Fries are fries, but better than what FATZ has. Copper River also serves personal-pan pizzas, and maybe I'll try one on my next visit. I mean, the variety of food here is good... I'd like to come back, as that was a quite pleasant experience at Copper River Grill in Boiling Springs.

Food was excellent and the service was superb. I recommend the queso smashed potatoes. Was expecting spicy but was not disappointed with the flavor and taste abiet mild. My steak was very flavorful. The creamy horseradish was fantastic. Atmosphere was friendly and family positive! My waitress Ashley was awesome! She really took care of my needs.

Service was terrible, we had to beg for refills, cocktails were not mixed well. Waited 20-30 minutes between each course. I felt like I was on an episode of Bar Rescue, Restaurant edition.. Except it was before the rescue happened. It was my first time to this restaurant, and it will definitely be my last. Poor experience all around! Beware fellow yelpers!

I was on a business trip and stayed at a hotel a few miles away. I didn't know the area very well and liked the place, so I came by both nights for dinner. I sat at the dining room the first night and the bar the second. The food was very good both visits. Tasty and prepared well. I also liked the selection of Bavarian beverages. I had a personal pizza the first night and it was good, an average pizza to me. I had a beef sandwich the second visit and it was solid. My only criticism is the service. On the first visit, my server visited often but was mechanical and going through the motions. She mainly did fly-bys and didn't seem to stop. This was a Tuesday night and not very busy. I would have stayed and drank a few more beverages had it felt more welcoming. This is why I thought sitting at the bar the next evening. There were two bartenders and the chairs were mostly full when I arrived and thinned out a bit after. I had the same experience with the service though. The bartenders (both female) would check in but didn't seem too interested in keeping me there consuming beverages. I observed the staff being peppy and social with their co-workers and with a few who seemed to be regulars. If they could turn their personality on for the customers, I'm sure it would make a difference. It wasn't "bad" service, just could have been better.

In my opinion - average run of the mill American Style eatery. We like to go in the warmer months and sit on the patio and enjoy a few adult beverages and have the steak nachos. The service is always excellent and the food is good, dont get me wrong, but it is just your average fare. We visit several times a month in the summer so do not take this as a bad review it is not.

My wife and I read all the great reviews and decided to check it out for ourselves. It didn't live up to the hype. Over the course of two visits, we tried the: Grilled Salmon Salad The salmon was overdone and the famous salad dressing, which is just bacon fat at honey-mustard, was a little too fatty for our taste. Firecracker Shrimp Mac & Cheese This was the best dish we tried. It had a nice kick to it, but it not worth going back for. Chicken-Fried Tenders with Buffalo Sauce The favor of the chicken and the Buffalo sauce were pretty good, but the texture of the chicken wasn't pleasing. I know this sounds weird, but they were distractingly soft, and not in a positive way. She-Crab Soup It tasted like lobster bisque, which is good, but the crab was brown, which is strange. Margaritas Decent margarita. Too small, but that's true of all margaritas.

Celebrated my parents' 50th wedding anniversary there on a busy Saturday night, but we were seated immediately. There was a large selection of entrees and we went with the flounder and shrimp with side salad and baked sweet potato (excellent!), the planked salmon--my mom loved it! And the sirloin steak--dad thought it was wonderful as well! The service was great and our server even brought out dessert with two candles for my parents! Nice!

Decided to have dinner Saturday night... Fairly busy. Food was so so... Pizza was very bland. Had a dirty plate and had to ask for drink refills three times. Ended up walking to the waitress area while they're all chit-chatting and began to get it myself until our waitress finally handed them to me and I brought them to our table. It'll be a while before I attempt copper river again... If ever.

The food was absolutely delicious! Our server, Tammy, did a fantastic job! She guided us on selections, recommended splitting a kids meal between our 4yo and 18mo since portions are huge, and was very friendly and efficient. The food was superb, and worth the higher prices, but the service was exceptional and will definitely keep us coming back. We were very pleased with the entire experience.

I was in town for a Honda Goldwing convention and had the pleasure of dining at Copper River on two nights. The place was packed both nights. One night, we ended up eating at the bar just so we did not have to wait for a table. The portions here are huge and the salads are excellent. I had the Caesar with grilled chicken, and it was delicious. All salads come with a soft croissant that has been drizzled with some devilish honey/butter/cinnamon concoction that makes it worthy of a decadent dessert. Everything ordered at our table was flawlessly executed and delicious. Service was crisp, friendly and efficient.

This place was great!!! We were staying at the Days Inn across the street and they recommended this place. We had a fabulous dinner - love, love, loved the house dressing (a combo of honey mustard and hot bacon dressing) so much that I have been thinking about it ever since. They are a little bit bacon-centric... They should probably cut back a bit on that LOL. My daughter's potato soup really should have been called bacon soup. Believe me, I love bacon, but it was a bit overwhelming. Other than that, the place was great. Our server was wonderful and I loved the layout/décor of the restaurant. Would love to eat here again sometime if I'm in the area.

Just in a whim, we stopped in after church. We had not eaten at Copper River in years. It was so good! We had the Copper River Salads & they were great. It was a packed house & we got our food in 5 minutes!

Nice!

I had an excellent experience with this restaurant! Our server, Scott, was very respectful, courteous, and right on point with our needs. Our food was delicious, as well. We will definitely be back!

If ever.

Nice lunch spot. Nothing special to write home about but decent food and service. The burgers are pretty good as well as the poboy but everything else is ok.

Really horrible for large groups. Portions are huge! Wait staff were slow, in more ways than 1. Good luck!

Can I kidnap Copper River and bring it back north with me? Decent service. Good food.

Meal was great and the service even better. Our waitress was Amanda. She is an excellent waitress! Try the spinach dip appetizer.
